Breaking Mews: Oskar the Blind Cat receives Dr. Jacob Bolotin Award!

Breaking mews: On July 5, Pet Connection Magazine’s media partner, Oskar the Blind Cat, officially became a recipient of the Dr. Jacob Bolotin award! The award, which is presented by the National Federation of the Blind (NFB), was in honor of Oskar’s children’s books. The Bolotin Awards recognize individuals and organizations that work in the field of blindness and have demonstrated extraordinary accomplishments and exemplary leadership toward achieving the full integration of the blind into society on the basis of equality.

For the awards, book creators Mick and Travis traveled to Orlando, where they attended the NFB’s National Convention. Stay tuned for the launch of some exciting new projects in the near future!

The Oskar & Klaus books now feature Braille versions for the same price as the regular versions, thanks to a generous grant from the American Action Fund for Blind Children and Adults. To get your own copies today, please visit NFB.oskarandklaus.com. Congratulations to Oskar, Klaus, Mick, Travis, Bethany, Faye, and Baby Fern. Thank you for all that you do!
