Olympia, Washington’s Hanson Subaru has been a family-owned and operated business for more than 44 years — and they’re happy to share the love with their customers and local nonprofit organizations.
Hanson Subaru, located in Olympia, Washington, has been a family-owned and operated business for more than 44 years.
“It’s like a family here,” said Sales Manager Rob Little. “The owner Vince Hanson is on site every day and makes sure that all of their employees are taken care of.”
At Hanson’s annual food drive for the local senior center, staff and customers filled a 27-foot U-Haul full of food.
“It was so rewarding when we donated that to the senior center,” Rob said.
Entering the warm, spacious showroom, Hanson Subaru truly does have a “family” atmosphere – and the longevity of their employees shows just how popular this business is. Rob has been at the dealership for seven years. Frank, the dealership’s General Manager, has been there for 23 years, and many of their sales and service employees have been at the company for more than two decades.
Subaru is, by far, the most popular car choice for dog lovers. Subaru’s commercials even feature dogs driving their award-winning line of vehicles, although this isn’t a behavior that Hanson Subaru condones. They do enjoy it when their customers bring in their dogs, though. “We always keep dog treats on hand to give out to the dogs,” Rob said.
When Lisa Carlson came to the dealership, her dogs, 12-year-old Arlo and 17-year-old Lucy, were excited to come along – and the employees were equally excited to greet them in the customer lobby. Arlo and Lucy gave four paws up to the 2019 Subaru Outback, and with its sleek styling, roomy interior, class-leading cargo space, state-of-the-art safety and technology features, and standard all-wheel-drive, it’s easy to see why the Outback has consistently been a top-rated pick.
Employee dogs Gidget, eight months, and Gizmo, four years, were excited to check out the Outback, too. Gidget especially enjoyed the heated seats, while Gizmo loved the Outback’s spacious cargo area in the back.
Hanson Subaru won the 2018 Subaru Love Promise Customer Commitment Award. “To win this award means that we exceeded Subaru’s commitment in Customer loyalty, customer experience, skilled staffing in place, up-to-date customer tools and programs,” Rob explained. “It means that we’ve also met the facility and brand expectations from J D Powers. It’s a year-long process to achieve. The Subaru Love Promise Customer Commitment – At Hanson Subaru you should always feel love and respect. You should feel it when you ask questions. You should feel it when you bring up a need. As representatives of Subaru, we promise to help ensure our customers always feel love and respect. We will go out of our way. We will build lifelong relationships. We do this because we feel it’s the right thing to do.”
Hanson Subaru loves participating in the Share the Love program and is proud to support local organizations, including Joint Animal Services and South Sound Senior Services. “We recently donated a carload of food, toys and pet accessories at Joint Animal Services,” Rob said.
As of this writing, Hanson Subaru has donated $16875 in the Share the Love event.
Hanson Subaru includes the Crystal Mountain Report on its website – and for good reason! Subaru is the “official vehicle of Crystal Mountain.”
“We get stories all the time about how a customer was driving over the pass and just cruising by others’ cars stuck on the side of the road in the snow,” Rob said.
In all weather conditions, Subaru drivers truly do love their cars – and Hanson Subaru loves to help them “Share the Love,” too.
