This is Joseph. His tattered ears are a telltale indication of his previous life. He was found at a feral cat feeding station, but he is anything but feral. This sweet boy was pretty beat up, but is doing oh so much better now!
Joseph is a three-year-old boy with bunny soft black fur and a white locket of fur on his throat. His golden, soulful eyes will draw you in and his gentle, docile, affectionate manner will endear you. He’s learning that his life no longer needs to be about survival and he can play. For the most part, he loves to just sit back and watch toys with interest and wonder. He is going to make a GREAT cat for some very lucky human(s).
Joseph is a follower, not a leader, and can be a bit timid. His foster family has been impressed, though, with his ability to adjust to changing circumstances. He may be slow to trust new people and new situations but will reward patience with soft loving chortles, purrs and head butts.
This gorgeous guy is currently residing in “The Library” at the shelter with Terrence, so we know he gets along with other cats. Joseph is FIV+ and we have every reason to believe that he will live a long, happy, healthy life as long as he is kept indoors and gets regular checkups at the vet.
Joseph’s ‘feline-ality’ is that of a Sidekick: “Like all sidekicks, I’m just plain good company. I like attention, and I also like my solitude. I don’t go looking for trouble, but I’m no scaredy-cat, either. If you are looking for a steady companion to travel with you on the road of life, look no further!”
